John Goullet began his career after graduating from Ursinus College in 1983 as a computer consultant and an IT staffing professional in New Jersey before deciding to start his own firm, Info Technologies, in 1994. With his IT staffing experience, Goullet decided that he would differentiate his company by meticulously matching IT staff with clients, not only by skill set, but by personality and how well the staffer would conform to the client’s business. By 2010, Info Technologies had grown rapidly and Goullet and Gene Waddy of Diversant Inc.decided to merge their businesses to form Diversant LLC., where Goullet now serves as principal.
According to an IdeaMensch interview, Goullet says that he continuously keeps abreast of what is happening in the IT labor market, so Diversant can fill any anticipated shortages. Knowing the company’s future depends on delivering clients candidates with the expertise that their own employees lack, Goullet is always seeking bright individuals with capabilities that are in great demand. By recruiting from around the world, Diversant is able to offer clients diverse IT talent.
Planning for growth, DIVERSANT acquired Vircon, another IT staffing firm in 2016, which will retain its senior staff, but operate under Diversant’s name. Goullet has said that Diversant will benefit by gaining new clients and new talent. The New Jersey tech executive’s company, which is a certified Minority Owned Business Enterprise, provides scalable IT staffing, direct hire and staff augmentation to mid-market to Fortune 500 clients in a wide variety of industries, including banking, telecommunications, finance and more.
